Wazli Map · Map Editors

Build the map our families deserve.

Wazli Map is built by our community, for our families. Every place you add, every pin you move to the right door and every closed shop you mark helps families across your area get where they are going — the first time.

Our mission

A map made by our community, for our families — accurate, safe, and ours.

Big maps are built for everyone, which means they are built for no one in particular. They miss the halal butcher, the Arabic-speaking clinic, the family bakery that opened last month. We are building the map that doesn’t — and we cannot build it without the people who actually live here.

The right place, at the right door

Pins where the entrance really is. Places that really exist. Closed shops marked closed.

Safe and clean

A real person checks every edit before it goes live. Nothing reaches the map unchecked.

The places others miss

The places our families actually use. Big maps don’t know them. You do.

Our vision: wherever an Arab family lands — a new neighbourhood, a new city, a new country — Wazli Map already knows the way, because someone like you walked it first.

Why it matters

Your edit is not small.

One correction travels further than you think.

  1. 01

You move one pin to the real entrance of a restaurant.

  2. 02

A family on the way to dinner finds the door on the first try — no circling, no phone calls, no giving up.

  3. 03

The owner gets a customer they would have lost. A small business stays open.

  4. 04

Your neighbourhood gets stronger, one right answer at a time. Multiply that by every family who opens the map.

Habibi Lebanese Grill on Wazli Map
A real example

Habibi Lebanese Grill

It was missing from our map. It was sent through community editing, checked by our map team, and went live in Winter Garden the same day. That is how every community place gets here.

You keep the map safe

The first line against wrong information.

Wrong information hurts real people: a family drives to a shop that closed years ago, or to a place that never existed. Map Editors are the first to notice. When you tell us, our team acts on it.

  • Mark closed places so no one makes a wasted trip
  • Move pins that point to the wrong door
  • Report fake places and spam pinssoon
  • Flag duplicates so every place appears oncesoon

Every fix you send makes the map a little more trusted — for every family who uses it.

The five levels

Your journey as a Map Editor

Each level has its own medal, its own role, and something real that it unlocks. Pick a level to see it.

Level 1 of 50 points

Explorer

You notice something is off — a new bakery, a shop that closed, a pin on the wrong corner. You tell us. That is how every Map Editor starts.

What you do at this level
  • Send your first “Add a missing place”
  • Move a pin that sits on the wrong corner
  • Tell us when a shop has closed
How to level up

Start with your own street. You know it better than any satellite does.

To reach the next level: 50 points

You unlockYour first medal, on your profile
Level 2 of 550 points

Contributor

A handful of fixes in, and your street is already more right than it was. People you will never meet are using your work.

What you do at this level
  • Add the places your family uses: bakery, butcher, mosque, clinic
  • Check the addresses around your work or school
  • Fix names that are spelled wrong in Arabic or English
How to level up

Add the Arabic name too — families who search in Arabic will find it.

To reach the next level: 250 points

You unlockYour medal next to your name on every review and edit
Level 3 of 5250 points

Guide

Neighbours use the places you added every day, without knowing it was you. You are now one of the people this map depends on.

What you do at this level
  • Map a whole shopping plaza, shop by shop
  • Correct opening hours after you visit
  • Fix every wrong pin in your neighbourhood
How to level up

Walk through one plaza and fix everything in it. It adds up fast.

To reach the next level: 1,000 points

You unlockEarly access: try new map features before everyone else
Level 4 of 51,000 points

Expert ✓ Trusted

Our team knows your work and trusts it. Your edits jump to the front of the line.

What you do at this level
  • Your edits are checked first
  • Your reports count for more
  • Help newer editors with clear notes on your edits
How to level up

Trusted is kept by quality, not speed. Careful edits keep your status.

To reach the next level: 5,000 points

You unlockTrusted status: your edits are checked first, and you are featured on your city's board
Level 5 of 55,000 points

Local Hero

Your city’s map carries your work. When families find their way here, it is partly because of you.

What you do at this level
  • Keep your city’s map right as it changes
  • Be the name families see on your city’s board
  • Join the Local Hero circle and help shape new map features
How to level up

Local Heroes are the people our team calls first when a city changes.

The top level

You unlockAn invitation to the Local Hero circle, plus real rewards Wazli will announce later
How it works

From your phone to everyone’s map

  1. 01

    You send it

Add a place, move a pin or report a change from the ☰ menu on the map.

  2. 02

    A person checks it

Our map team reviews every suggestion — fairly, and in order.

  3. 03

    It goes live

Approved places appear on the map for everyone, right away.

  4. 04

    You level up

You earn points, your medal grows, and you see it all in “Your contributions”.

How you earn points

Points come only from work that is checked and live. Quality always beats speed.

+15
A new place is approved
+25
A new road is approved
+15
A new area is approveda neighbourhood, compound, building, shopping centre, park or campus
+5
A road, a pin, a closure, details or an address fixed
What earns points
  • Places you have seen with your own eyes
  • The Arabic and English name, when you know them
  • The real entrance, not the middle of the car park
What never earns points
  • Places that do not exist, or ads dressed up as edits
  • Copying from another map
  • Adding your own business — claim it on Wazli Business instead

Breaking these rules removes the points, and can remove Trusted status.

Our promise to you

You give us your time. Here is what you get from us.

A real person checks every edit

No machine decides what happens to your work. Our map team reviews each suggestion.

You always know what happened

“Your contributions” in the map menu shows every edit you sent: waiting, approved, or not approved.

Your work stays yours

Points, levels and medals come only from your approved work, and they carry your name.

Your privacy comes first

We never show your email or phone number on the map, and you will be able to hide from every leaderboard with one switch.

Your medal travels with you

It shows next to your name on your reviews, answers and map edits — on wazli.com and on the map.

Questions, answered

Do I get paid?

Not in this version. Rewards with money value come later, once the payment rules are set.

How long does a check take?

Our team works through edits in order. Trusted editors (Level 4 and up) will be checked first.

What if my edit is not approved?

You will see it in “Your contributions”. It never counts against you — fix it and send it again.

Can I add my own business?

Please claim it on Wazli Business instead (biz.wazli.com). It unlocks photos, hours and offers, and keeps the map fair.

Can I hide from the leaderboard?

Yes. When city boards open, one switch in your settings hides you from every board.

Is it the same account as Wazli?

Yes. One Wazli account works on wazli.com and on the map.

This is our map. Let’s make it right — together.

Every family who opens Wazli Map is counting on it to be right. Be one of the people who makes sure it is.
